March Closed Transactions
Transaction activity dipped slightly in March with our brokerage closing 20 deals equating to more than 161,000 square feet.
The largest transaction by volume for the month was a lease renewal for six suites at 477 Cooper Rd. in Westerville, Ohio. The team of Philip Bird, SIOR, Matt Gregory, SIOR, CCIM and Mitchell Moore represented the landlord in the renewal of an anchor tenant totaling 50,775 square feet. The team closed 40% of the month’s transactions.
The team of Dan Sheeran Jr., Mike Semon and Dan Sheeran closed the second largest transaction and largest land transaction by volume for March. The team sold 24.08 acres at 5656 Bixby Rd. in Canal Winchester for $4.6 million. The land was purchased by Metro Development which plans to build a 500-unit apartment development on the site.
The largest industrial transaction by volume was the sale of 1735 Atlas St. for $2.1 million. The team of Matthew Osowski, SIOR, Curt Berlin, SIOR and Blake DeCrane represented the buyer, Lake Erie Electric of Columbus, Inc. in purchasing the 12,576-square-foot industrial warehouse. Overall industrial transactions accounted for about 20% of the month’s activity.
